Arguing with Jared Diamond fans might be one of the most futile activities ever conceived. Why oh why can't I keep my mouth shut and my indignities to myself? After all, he's only accused of what in the business is known as "making shit up" and "trying to get his informants killed." I can see why that should be brushed aside in light of his detailed *snerk* analysis of the facts. *chortle*

After further discussion I withdraw my complaint about those who are fans of Diamond. I still stand by my opinions of the man, but people who read him aren't entirely lost causes. Now bevets on the other hand...
